Better weather yesterday so I had another go at The Skyline Circuit and Misty Peaks but neither were particularly good in the end. Some rain and cloud around but the wind had dropped significantly, and while there were some reasonable views it was only really worth doing for the exercise! Anyway got down and treated myself to a couple of beers and some good old fish and chips!
The wind started picking up again later in the evening and turned gale force by bed time, with very heavy rain all night and this morning and I don't think the temperature had reached double figures yet today! So did some washing and tumble drying and will move on towards Arthurs Pass later today.
