Already in Westport on my way to the Lewis Pass and on to Kaikora to see some whales! Did the last 15 kilometres of the Heaphy Track twice yesterday! Terrific walk. Bush, beach and small cliff essentially and very beautiful indeed. The walk took me as far as the Heaphy River/hut. Lucky for me there was a hut as I needed somewhere for a bite of lunch and to stop anywhere outside on that section of the walk given the veracity of the sandflies is madness! Well worth the bites I did get though! Again not sure what the wifi situation will be over the next few days. Will post when I can.
