First of all it's too bloody hot! The good bit about the weather though is that the temperature drops right down at night so sleep is not a problem. In fact without a decent sleeping bag you would struggle staying warm with the night temperatures over here. Anyway, with a last look across the bay from Kaiteriteri I took on the massive climb out of the Motueka valley and down into the Takaka valley. Good little campsite close to many of the things I've got earmarked. Whistle stopped a number of smaller bits on the Takaka itinerary pm.
