Elaine Bay and the French Pass

You just run out of superlatives trying to describe the nz landscape. So I think I'm going to simply post the pictures and you can find your own words. Great drive from Pelorus Bridge to a fabulous site at Elaine Bay right on the edge of the Tennyson Inlet. Promptly set up camp and pushed the car another 20k over unmade road to the French Pass. Wonderful. And I got to see it all again on the way back as there was only one way in and out! What I didn't notice about the campsite as I was in such a rush to get to the French Pass was that it had no showers and the toilet was a hole in the ground, albeit with walls and a roof.  It's a long time since I had a strip wash in cold water from a bucket!
