Hahei to Whitianga

Started with some of the coves just north of Hahei, perhaps Cathedral Cove being the most well known. Very beautiful. Made my way to Cook's Beach thereafter. Probably the least stunning of the Coromandel beaches thus far but still very nice. Then on to Cook's Landing, again quite spectacular. From there it's a 4 dollar ferry ride across Whitianga Harbour  to Whitianga itself, unless you have a car!! In which case it's a 30k drive with not a great deal to commend it. Whitianga is very pleasant, nestled in the south west corner of Mercury Bay. And its got a gym! Went for a look around today and a gym session. Very muggy presently and rain expected tonight. Will move to Coromandel Town tomorrow, and use it as a base for a couple to explore the northern end of the peninsula. Mostly unmade road but well worth the effort I'm told.
Can't  believe I'll  be back in the uk in less than two weeks now.
Some pictures from the coves north of Hahei attached.
Much love,
Glen x

  1. Can't wait for you to be back in the UK. Temperatures on the increase, we've seen nearly 20's during this week (although this may now be the height of summer lol!!) xx
